Henna decorating, traditionally known as Mehndi, has been used for centuries in the east as a way to decorate women to mark stages in her life and rites of passage.
This fun process involves applying henna directly to the belly in intricate detail. The finest ingredients are used and made fresh specifically for the sensitive skin of a pregnant woman.
We have a choice of designs so you can pick one that’s right for you. Depending on the design, the process can take anywhere from an hour to two hours.
This is an especially fun element to add to your Mother Blessing Ceremony.
Belly decorating is included as a regular part of our doula services, however we also offer henna parties as well. A henna decorating party would consist of decorating an expectant mother's belly and her friend's hands or feet.
Prices start at $15.00 per design or an hourly rate for henna parties.
